Chisinau, 17 September /MOLDPRES/- The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) today made public a communique saying that "it takes note of a decision by MP Petru Stirbate to leave the party".
"This decision is part of the party's denigration campaign, guided both from inside and outside the country, meant to weaken the ruling alliance and divert Moldova's European integration", the PLDM's declaration says.
Under the communique, "the gesture comes against the background of the latest warnings, including from the foreign partners, on attempts of ceasing the European integration path". Or, "such a decision is not accidental at all, especially as it has been already set forth by opponents of the European path earlier."
In this context, PLDM believes that "it is Petru Stirbate's moral duty to give up his MP mandate, got with general support of PLDM members and structures."
