Brussels hosts meeting of Moldova-EU Parliamentary Association Committee

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ - The first meeting of Moldova-EU Parliamentary Association Committee (PAC) is held in Brussels on 21-22 September, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
Moldova's parliamentary delegation is headed by the co-chair of Moldova-EU PAC, MP Vlad Filat, and the European Union's one by the co-chair of Moldova-EU PAC, MEP Andi Cristea. The Moldovan delegation is made up of the committee's deputy chair, MP Corneliu Padnevici, lawmakers Maria Ciobanu, Victor Mindru, Andrei Neguta, Alina Zotea.
Under the agenda, the committee's members are to meet in two sessions and will be welcomed by Andi Cristea and Vlad Filat.
During the first session, the officials will exchange views about ties between EU and Moldova, recent political evolutions in Moldova, justice reform and anticorruption measures, observance of human rights, situation in the Transnistrian region and progress of 5+2 talks, regional cooperation of Moldova.
The second session will focus on debates on implementation of the Association Agreement and Free Trade Agreement, including in the Transnistrian region, Moldova's reforms agenda in the economic and social areas, as well as items regarding border mobility and management, cooperation in the energy sector.
The sides will also examine the draft of the committee's regulation and will adopt a joint declaration, as well as recommendations for the Moldovan and European Union's authorities.
