Moldovan, Romanian armies carry out bilateral military exercises

Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan-Romanian Prut military exercise takes place at the Mogosesti Training Centre in Iasi, Romania, between 21 and 25 September.
According to the Moldovan contingent’s commander participating in the exercises, Lieutenant Colonel Vasile Lungu, the Army National delegated 26 soldiers from the Dacia Motorised Infantry Brigade and the Defence Ministry’s Guard Battalion.
The source specified that the Moldovan officers and non-commissioned officers would carry out, alongside their Romanian colleagues from the Razboieni 151st Infantry Battalion, different tactical missions with infantry subunits in order to boost interoperability between the two armies.
Another bilateral exercise, with the participation of Moldovan and Romanian armies’ effectives, titled "Shield of Fire", runs between 3 September and 3 October at the Bulboaca military training centre in Moldova. A number of about 600 troops from all National Army units, as well as 26 Romanian servicemen from the Iasi-based 15th Mechanised Brigade participate in the exercises.
