Moldovan premier meets Hungarian ambassador

Chisinau, 25 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet met Hungarian Ambassador to Moldova Matyas Szilagyi. The discussion focused on the bilateral agenda, strengthening political dialogue and the prospects of expanding of relations between Moldova and Hungary, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The prime minister mentioned Hungary's support in the implementation of Moldova's European agenda, including within different international organisations, both politically and through the implementation of assistance programmes. "I appreciate this attitude and I assure you that the government is determined to take concrete steps to achieve those objectives, resetting the system of fighting corruption, public administration reform and improving the situation in the financial sector being the main aspects", said Valeriu Strelet.
Ambassador Matyas Szilagyi reiterated Hungary’s support for Moldova and stressed the need to boost the Moldovan-Hungarian relations in all cooperation sectors. "We are strategic partners and support Moldova’s clear prospect of European integration", the Hungarian official said.
The sides especially tackled the activity of the intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation and trade development, calling for speeding up dialogue and turning into account the potential of increasing the volume of trade and investment between the two countries.
