OSCE Secretary General to visit Moldova by late 2015

Chisinau, 27 September /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman met OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier on 26 September, in the context of the 70th meeting of the UN General Assembly, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's communication and media relations service has reported.
Gherman thanked for efficient cooperation between authorities of Moldova and OSCE and underlined the organisation's significant role as mediator in the negotiations on Transnistrian conflict settlement.
The official tackled the current stage of Transnistrian conflict settlement process, expressing regret on stagnation of dialogue in the 5+2 format and remarking the need to resume talks within the negotiations. Gherman reiterated Chisinau's position on the need to resume and complete the withdrawal of Russian military forces from Moldova, requesting to maintain the issue, along with the situation in the Latin script schools from the country's eastern region, on the top of priorities of organisation and OSCE Mission to Chisinau. In the context, they pointed out the need to implement the provisions of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with EU in the country.
At the end, the officials agreed on organising a visit of OSCE Secretary General to Moldova by late 2015.
