Moldovan PM attends high-level meeting of 70th session of UN General Assembly

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/- A Moldovan delegation, headed by Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet, participates in a high-level meeting of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly on 28 September - 1 October. This is a meeting gathering political leaders and officials from most world countries, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
Distinct events for the Moldovan delegation will be a meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and presentation of a speech by Valeriu Strelet on behalf of Moldova on 30 September. The delegation will also participate in a summit of leaders on combating Islamic State in Iraq and Levant and violent extremism.
Strelet will have bilateral meetings with his counterpart from Sweden, presidents of Bulgaria and Lithuania, Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Dana J. Hyde. He will also meet officials within U.S. Department of State, as well as representatives of energy companies etc.
The premier will hold talks with the leadership of the International Monetary Fund to consolidate bilateral cooperation and boost Moldova's development.
