Moldovan, Estonian officials tackle EU integration, reforms

Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman met Estonian Foreign Minister Marina Kaljurand on 28 September, in the context of the 70th session of UN General Assembly, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's communication and media relations service has reported.
The officials appreciated the development of bilateral relations over the last years, especially, in the European integration sector. Also, they pointed out the first results of implementation of Modova-EU Association Agreement, including Free Trade Area. In the context, the official mentioned the efficiency of Estonian model on monitoring implementation of Association Agreement, which had been taken over and applied by Moldovan authorities.
In the same context, Gherman thanked for development assistance provided by Estonian government and for willingness to share the good practices and Estonian experience in such sectors as: electronic government, health, rural development etc.
For her part, Marina Kaljurand reiterated that Estonia backed Moldovan authorities' commitments in European integration process and implementation of reforms, especially, in the fields of major interest.
