Moldovan PM meets Swedish counterpart

Chisinau, 30 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Valeriu Strele has met his Swedish counterpart Stefan Löfven, during the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
Strelet praised the development of the Moldovan-Swedish bilateral ties and consistent support provided by Sweden in order to promote reforms and modernise Moldova. Strelet thanked for the significant assistance of Sweden in order to implement the European agenda and more assistance programmes.
The officials approached ways by which Sweden, at governmental level, may further back reforms in different areas and, at the same time, Moldova's European path. Strelet also reiterated the government's openness to cooperate with Sweden as to develop and strengthen the Moldovan local authorities.
The sides also broached cooperation between the two states and mutual support within more international organisations, such as OSCE and UN.
