Cards issued by Moldovan banks under special administration to be blocked

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/ - Within the actions of preparation for the withdrawal of licenses of the Savings Bank (Banca de Economii), Unibank and Social Bank (Banca Sociala), operations with bank cards issued by these banks will be stopped starting 9 October 2015, 21:00.

According to the press service of the National Bank, the balances of unused card accounts, together with the demand deposits and time deposits of natural persons and legal entities from the banks mentioned above, will be transferred in a centralised manner to other banks, keeping the existing conditions from the deposit contracts. The information on the recipient banks will made available to customers of the three banks through their territorial subdivisions and the media.

Holders of cards issued by the Savings Bank, Unibank and Social Bank are asked to ensure the necessary funds before blocking the cards issued by these banks.
