Moldovan foreign minister meets UNDP official

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman met UNDP Administrator Helen Clark in New York on 1 October, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's communication and media relations service has reported.
The talks were especially focused on sustainable development goals set within the UN Summit on adopting post-2015 development agenda in New York.
In the context, Gherman highlighted the importance of UNDP support for identifying development goals at national level, noting that the their implementation would contribute to carrying out the major priorities of Moldova.
Referring to cooperation between Moldova and UNDP, Gherman opted for continuing a partnership streamlined to visible results, giving an example of successful cooperation within major projects implemented with UNDP support in the country, as well as "Energy and Biomass" and "Supporting confidence-building measures", projects having a positive impact on people from both banks of the Dniestre.
Helen Clark assured the Moldovan authorities of full support in meeting goals on the country's sustainable development.
