Centre for Electronic Governance implements over 70 e-transformation projects

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/- Over 70 projects on e-transformation have been implemented via the Centre for Electronic Governance (CGE) during five years.
CGE executive director Iurie Turcanu said that the centre had faced challenges, difficulties over the five years of activity, but it got important achievements. "We implemented over 70 e-transformation projects. All the state institutions will have an integrated system of e-governing till 2020", he said.
Attending the event, Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet said that the government would encourage and offer support to develop e-governance, and due to the full implementation and development of the integrated system "will get rid of corruption more easily".
The premier said: "presently, the public services' degree of satisfaction is nearly 66 per cent, which proves that we can become a modern state and an efficient government".
For his part, Government's Secretary General Serghei Palihovici noted that "587 e-services are delivered at central level, and this is a benefit in reforming central and local public administration".
CGE was set up with the support of the World Bank, Council of Europe, as well as other national and international institutions. The centre was founded following an initiative by premier in August 2010 and is subordinated to the State Chancellery.
