Moldovan PM invites young football trophy winners to watch game from tribune

Chisinau, 10 Octombrie /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet invited a team of young football players from northern Balti district, who won the trophy of the national football tournament “Government's Cup 2015”, to be his special guests at the Moldova-Russia football match, in Chisinau, at the “Zimbru” stadium, on 9 October, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
Strelet wanted to reward footballers, as he missed the awarding ceremony, because of his official visit to the USA.
The Moldovan Football Federation helped bring the young champion team to Chisinau; it also offered them tricolor scarves and other promotional products representing the national team.
The team is mostly made up of students aged between 13 and 14, who attend the “Vasile Alecsandru” lyceum, in Balti district. Children said the possibility to watch the game from the tribune was one of the best prizes they could possibly want.
The national football tournament “Government's Cup 2015”, which is considered to be the largest and the most useful football project, reached its 10th edition this year.
