Moldovan PM meets newly appointed Ukrainian ambassador

Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet held a meeting with newly appointed Ukrainian Ambassador to Moldova Ivan Hnatyshyn, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
Strelet welcomed Hnatyshyn and wished him success in his further activity.
The officials exchanged views on current problems and priority issues on the Moldovan-Ukrainian agenda. The sides addressed the enhancement of the bilateral governmental and ministerial dialogue, touching upon the consolidation of the commercial-economic exchange. They also said it was necessary to finalize the demarcation of the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border and recognize property rights.
The sides had also focused on the Transnistrian conflict’s settlement and the regional situation. They voiced their mutual support for observing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both Moldova and Ukraine.
Ivan Hnatyshyn was accredited as Ukraine’s ambassador to Moldova on 23 September 2015.
