Moldovan-Romanian inter-governmental commission on economic cooperation meets today

Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/- The Moldovan-Romanian inter-governmental commission on economic cooperation holds a meeting in Bucharest today.
According to a press release by the Economics Ministry, the meeting is chaired by Moldovan Economics Minister Stephane Bride. The Moldovan delegation will address bilateral cooperation in various fields as well as energy inter-connection and investment projects. The sides will also tackle the attraction of investments in the industry sector by mutual promotion of economic agents’ products and services within economic missions and specialized fairs, as well as, cross-border and cross-national cooperation.
The officials will sign an Understanding Memorandum on the cooperation between the Romanian Association of Industrial, Technological, Scientific Parks and Business Incubators and the Moldovan Employers Association of Industrial Parks.
Romania had also offered a free-of-charge pavilion to approximately 50 Moldovan companies, which participate for the first time ever in the “Made in Romania” fair at Romexpo today.
According to the National Statistics Bureau, Romania is Moldova’s main commercial partner, with a trade turnover of almost 600 million dollars. The Romanian market is the largest destination for Moldovan exports, with a 262-million-dollar turnover registered in the last seven months. Romanian imports to Moldova amount to 333 million dollars.
