Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/- "I believe that Moldova goes through a difficult period, without mentioning the reasons. We must recognize that the government made mistakes, we need openness, as we can find solutions through openness and dialogue. The most important message of European partners is that we do not need revolution, but evolution", Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu said at the first public forum for social dialogue, launched at the initiative of the leadership of country, parliament and government, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The event brought together representatives of the political establishment, civil society, academic environment, social partners, creative people and other important public actors.
The participants welcomed the initiative of the country's leadership on launch of social dialogue to identify national consensus to overcome the deadlock. They expressed opinions about the most important actions the authorities must take during the next period, especially, speeding up the reforms in justice, fight against corruption, as well as in financial-banking system.
Candu, along with President Nicolae Timofti and Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet urged the entire society to involve in continuing the reforms and opted for institutionalising the dialogue launched within the public forum, so that a permanent platform should be created on talks between authorities and society on important issues for citizens.
"Signing of the Association Agreement, liberalisation of visa regime are some of the pillars that we managed to set. Some issues started to be achieved. It was the first talk with those of the International Monetary Fund. We have a full agenda to implement reforms of the Association Agreement", Candu also added. He voiced confidence that the commitments assumed both to citizens and to development partners would be carried out.
