Moldovans may travel without visas to Macedonia

17:45 | 15.10.2015 Category: Official

Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/- The Foreign and European Integration Ministry informs about the entrance into force of a decision of the Macedonian government on the abolition of short-stay visa regime for Moldovans, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's communication and media relations service has reported.

Thus, Moldovans are exempted from the visa requirement to enter, transit and stay in Macedonia for a period of up to 90 days during 6 months upon the first entry.

At the same time, the ministry warns that the visa exemption does not give Moldovans the right to get employed in Macedonia. Requirements necessary for long-term stay are stipulated by the provisions of the national legislation.

Macedonian citizens have been travelling visa free to Moldova since 31 July 2015.
