Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/- The cabinet today approved the amendments to the law on mandatory health insurance funds for 2015, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
According to the document, transfers to the mandatory health insurance funds to modernize the Moldovan health sector, have been reduced by 13.114 million lei. The decision was based on the 2015 disbursement indices, jointly established by the World Bank, Health Ministry and National Health Insurance Company, to implement the “Modernisation of Moldovan health sector” project. The project funds are part of the World Bank’s loan to reduce associated risks of non-communicable diseases and also improve the financial protection and efficiency of Moldovan health services.
The current amendment relates to the purchase of reimbursed medicines, which had been allocated funds within the “Modernisation of health sector” project.
The cabinet states that the current amendments to state budget transfers into the mandatory health insurance funds are in compliance with the suggestions on the rectification of the 2015 budget, and will not influence the amount and quality of medical services provided to Moldovan insured citizens.
