Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/- The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) will continue to rule; yet, it will forward strict activity conditions. Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet made statements to this effect at the end of the party’s political council meeting today.
According to Strelet, today’s council meeting revealed the need to make profound changes in the government process. “Following yesterday’s well-masterminded, selective and unilateral events, Moldova needs firm actions to escape captivity. And we can do it by staying at the government and submitting strict activity requirements. The PLDM is going to be a party that will come up with inconvenient initiatives. We are planning concrete measures. From now on, the PLDM has a free hand to act,” Strelet said.
The prime minister avoided revealing the conditions the PLDM laid down to its colleagues from the Alliance for European Integration (AIE), adding that they would be made public in a short time.
PLDM leader Vlad Filat on 15 October was stripped off his parliamentary immunity with the vote of 79 MPs and had also been summoned and detained by the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA) for 72 hours.
