Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/- The Artico Centre for Children and Youth hosted the first European Employers’ Forum in Chisinau today. More than 20 top companies provided Moldovan citizens with new jobs.
Among companies willing to provide jobs to young professionals, students and interested people, there are Lafarge Moldova, Orange Moldova, Lactalis Alba, Mobiasbanca –Groupe Societe Generale, Grawe Carat Asigurari joint stock insurance company, METRO Cash & Carry, Sandriliona ice-cream factory, Magenta Consulting and Gas Natural Fenosa.
People interested in getting a job at a European company were offered the opportunity to discuss with their potential employers. Teachers, students and pupils of vocational schools were informed about the employers’ current requirements and opportunities to reform academic curricula backed by international institutions.
The head of the France-Moldova Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI France- Moldavie), Emmanuel Skoulios said Moldova had plenty of well-trained human resources, in spite of lacking petroleum reserves. “Moldovan young people know how to work and know how to value it. This is a great asset when it comes to drawing foreign EU companies in Moldova. Therefore, it is necessary that human resources stay home. However, a high salary is not enough to achieve this goal, because people need appropriate conditions to get access to quality education, mortgage loans and quality healthcare,” Skoulios said.
The head of the Political and Economic Section at the EU Delegation to Moldova, Wicher Slagte, stated: “Moldova needs you more than it seems. Look for opportunities and use them. I wish everyone to benefit from this forum, which I hope will continue to be held in Moldova”.
The forum was organized by the France-Moldova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the Francophone University Association, United Nations Development Programme in Moldova and other international institutions.
