Moldovan capital hosts Moldovan-Italian economic forum

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/- More than 100 companies participated in the third Economic Forum for Italian and joint Moldovan-Italian enterprises operating in Moldova, in Chisinau today.
The event was organised by the Italian Embassy in Chisinau, ICE-Foreign Trade Agency for Romania and Moldova, Moldovan-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Italian-Moldovan Chamber of Commerce.
In his speech, Italian Ambassador to Moldova Enrico Nunziata said “it is really important that Moldovan-Italian economic ties continue to deepen and Italian investors are attracted to Moldova."
“The forum represents a unique opportunity for Moldovan authorities and Italian enterprises to keep a constant relation and a direct dialogue on primordial issues, be updated about the new regulations and identify possible solutions to common problems,” Nunziata emphasized.
According to the head of the Italian-Moldovan Chamber of Commerce, Sergio Capatti, Italian entrepreneurs are interested in investing in Moldova.
“CEDACRI International is a company we have built from scratch in Moldova. It provides banks with IT services, storing and processing their data. Presently, the company has more than 340 employees. We want to offer Moldovans the opportunity to find a job at home and stay in the country. I propose my fellow citizens to discover this country and help develop its economy,” Capatti added
According to statistic data, there are more than 1,000 Italian and joint Moldovan-Italian companies in Moldova, with more than 20,000 employees. Italian investments in Moldova amount to 120 million euros and the trade turnover stands at approximately 500 million euros.
