Chisinau, 23 October /MOLDPRES/- Projects submitted by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Moldova and Montenegro were approved today by the Know-how Exchange Programme (KEP) of the Central European Initiative (CEI). Financial support amounting to 166 thousand euros will be provided for their implementation by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
The projects imply an exchange of good practices between the BOKU University of Austria and Novi Sad University of Serbia, to enhance capacities of measuring the environmental impact of renewable energy, biomass in particular.
Romania’s Business Development Group will share its best practices and sustainable sewerage management methods with Moldova.
The CEI was founded in 1989 and is the oldest and largest inter-governmental forum for regional cooperation in Europe, holding an observer status in the United Nations General Assembly. The CEI programme backs professional development projects and ensures the exchange of good practices between donor EU-member states and non-EU member countries. Italy (through EBRD) and Austria (through ADA) are the main funders of the programme.
