Moldovan top court turns down request to suspend action of president's decree on nomination of premier

Chisinau, 28 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Constitutional Court (CC) has rejected a request on suspending the action of Moldovan President's Decree No 1877-VII from 21 December, on nomination of the candidate for the office of prime minister, in favour of considering the notification without delay.

According to CC's press service, "the concerned notification will be considered at a public meeting summoned for tomorrow, 29 December, starting from 10:00."

Today, a group MPs submitted to the Constitutional Court a notification on control of constitutionality of the Moldovan president's decree on the nomination of candidate Ion Sturza for the office of prime minister and interpretation of the Article 98, paragraph 1, from Moldova's Constitution.
