Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - The lawmakers of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) will not participate in a special parliament meeting, due on 4 January, during which prime minister-designate Ion Sturza is going to ask for the parliament's vote of confidence. PSRM leader Igor Dodon made statements to this effect at a news conference today.
The Socialists' leader stressed that his faction would not support any government in this parliament.
"The PSRM MPs will not take part in the parliament meetings in January, excepting the one for approving the decision on parliament's dissolution and appointing the date of the snap elections. We will not vote for any cabinet," Igor Dodon said.
"On 4 January, most PSRM MPs will be in the Victory town outside the parliament building, to be along with the protesters," Dodon added.
Prime minister-designate Ion Sturza has earlier said he would announce the government's action programme and composition of the new cabinet on 2 January and would ask for the parliament's vote of confidence on 4 January.
