Moldovan foreign minister receives Bucharest-based ambassador of Denmark

Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today received Bucharest-based Ambassador of Denmark to Moldova Karsten Vagn Nielsen, the Foreign and European Integration ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The two officials tackled issues of the present state and prospects of the Moldovan-Danish bilateral relations, promotion of the political dialogue, increasing trade exchanges, attracting investments, etc. Minister Andrei Galbur thanked the Danish government for the technical assistance provided to Moldova to carry out projects within the country’s development strategy, in particular, on the reformation of the public administration and justice systems.
The Danish diplomat showed interest in the social and political situation in Moldova and the Filip cabinet’s priority goals.
For his part, Minister Andrei Galbur stressed that the new government was firmly determined to continue Moldova’s European integration course, implement the reforms provided for in the Association Agreement with the European Union, in particular, in terms of fighting corruption, reforming the justice system, strengthening the state based on the rule of law.
The official also said that, among the government’s priorities, there were the resumption of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and other strategic development partners, as well as the enlivening of the process of five-plus-two negotiations on Transnistrian conflict settlement.
