Moldovan young people to participate in competition on essays

Chisinau, 9 February /MOLDPRES/- Young people from Moldova are encouraged to participate in a competition of essays on regional and European topics. The competition titled: “Young People from South-Eastern Europe for Prosperity of the Region” is organized by the South-East European Cooperation Process Parliamentary Assembly (SEECP PA), the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

Attending the event will be young people aged up to 29 years from the countries participating in the South-East European Cooperation Process: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and Kosovo.

The essays will be written in English and will be sent on-line to organizers on the website: www.competition.rspcsee.org before 31 March 2016.

Winners will be announced on 9 May. Prizes for winners are laptops, tablets, as well as a visit to the European Parliament, where the young people will have meetings with MEPs and representatives of European institutions involved in youth policy.

The competition is aimed at contributing to integrate the youth into the cooperation process through an informal communication and at creating a sense of belonging to regional and European youth community.

The competition is organized by the National Assembly of Bulgaria, which holds chairmanship-in-office of SEECP PA for June 2015- June 2016.
