Moldovan foreign minister receives congratulations from Hungarian, Polish, Swiss counterparts

Chisinau 10 February /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today received new congratulation messages on his appointment from Hungarian, Polish and Swiss foreign ministers, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

In his message, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó highlighted that Hungary had always been Moldova’s active and trustworthy partner, assuring that its new government may further count on Hungary’s friendly support to consolidate statehood and promote its EU integration course. To this effect, Szijjártó noted that Moldovan-Hungarian ties were guided by a mutual interest to enhance bilateral political, economic, social and cultural cooperation, Moldova’s EU integration being a key-element of the bilateral agenda.

Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski voiced his confidence that the new Moldovan government would succeed to enforce the necessary reforms and gain the support of its public opinion for its EU integration efforts. At the same time, Waszczykowski emphasized that Moldova’s approximation to Western structures would consolidate mutual democratic values and ensure favourable conditions for its social-economic development, as well as its further cooperation with Poland.

Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter wished the new Moldovan government great success, as well as welfare and prosperity to Moldova. He also voiced confidence that good Moldovan-Swiss cooperation ties would further develop and consolidate.
