Moldovan foreign minister, German ambassador discuss government's committments

Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/-Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today held a meeting with German Ambassador to Moldova Ulrike Knotz, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
During the meeting, the sides approached the development of Moldovan-German ties, in particular touching upon the mutual interest in boosting up the political dialogue in the context of Germany’s chairmanship of OSCE this year.
Galbur highlighted the Moldovan government’s firm commitment to implement the reforms provided in the EU Association Agreement, as well as to hold a dialogue with the civil society and foreign partners, in order to take actions to overcome difficulties and improve Moldova’s current social-economic situation.
In this context, the German ambassador encouraged the Moldovan government to persevere and implement the agenda of EU reforms, reiterating Germany’s availability to back it in this respect.
The Moldovan foreign minister thanked Germany for its willingness to further back the five-plus-two negotiations in its tenure of OSCE chairman, in order to find a political solution for the Transnistrian conflict, observing Moldova’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
