Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/-The draft law on the state budget for 2016 will be examined by the government after it holds a meeting with the group of experts of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in late February. The announcement was made in the beginning of the cabinet’s today meeting by Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
“We tackled the budget draft law during the last meeting and we want to submit this draft to the government as soon as possible. We should keep working these days and reach a final form of the document. However, we decided to send it to the parliament only after we hold a meeting with the IMF mission, on a visit to Chisinau in late February, like we agreed,” Filip said.
Filip recommended ministers debate the draft law with the civil society, business environment and other partners. “To speed things up, we should submit parliamentary commissions this draft law for debates as well, so that MPs could work on the draft’s finalization. It would definitely simplify our work after submitting the parliament the draft law already approved by the government,” the prime minister noted.
An IMF mission will arrive to Chisinau on 21 February to monitor the macro-economic situation and the state budget, as well as Moldova’s financial-budgetary policy and banking system.
