Moldovan foreign minister receives Italian ambassador

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today received Italian Ambassador to Moldova Enrico Nunziata, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The discussions were focused on aspects concerning the social and political, as well as the economic situation in Moldova and priority goals of the new cabinet for the next period, in particular, the carrying out of the reforms provided for in the Association Agreement with the European Union.
The two diplomats highlighted the positive dynamic of the bilateral relations and reiterated the mutual interest in boosting the political dialogue and extending the cooperation in the commercial, economic, cultural and humanitarian sectors. In this context, Andrei Galbur and Enrico Nunziata ascertained with satisfaction that Italy was one of the most important foreign economic partners of Moldova, as this country ranks second among the foreign investors in Moldova.
Ambassador Enrico Nunziata reiterated Italy’s willingness to back European aspirations of Moldova and closely cooperate in the long run, according to the provisions of a joint declaration on bilateral cooperation for the implementation of the Moldova-European Union Association Agreement.
