German company interested to open producing unit in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - The German company Coroplast showed interest in opening a unit for producing auto, electrical and industrial wiring, as well as a wide range of plastic products in Moldova. In this context, representatives of the company on 11 February paid a visit to explore investment opportunities on free economic zones (FEZ) platform in Moldova.
The Economics Ministry’s press service said that the representatives of the company had met Economics Minister Vitalie Iurcu. The official unveiled working conditions offered by Moldova to foreign investors, current legislative advantages, as well as incentives the investors may benefit from to do business at Moldovan FEZs.
The company’s representative presented the enterprise, stressing that the latter had been operating for more than 80 years and was specialized in producing auto, electric and industrial wiring systems, with production units in Poland, Tunisia, China, Mexico and the United States. Also, the company is part of a list of top employers from Germany and has over 6,000 employees.
In the end, the deputy economics minister voiced hope that collecting facts on investment opportunities and the visit to Moldova to identify a location for production and local partners would end with a positive decision.
