Moldovan foreign minister attends security conference in Munich

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur participates in the 52nd issue of the Munich Security Conference on 12-14 February, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s communication and media relations service has reported.

On the sidelines of the conference, Galbur will meet counterparts from partner states, as well as high-ranking representatives of European chancelleries and international organizations attending the event.

The Munich Security Conference is an annual high-level forum meant to debate major issues of international security policy. Initiated in 1963, the conference over the last five decades has become one of the most important platforms of talks and exchange of opinions between high-level decision makers, including heads of state and government. Over 450 participants from over 70 countries take part in the event annually.

The conference’s agenda includes the most relevant issues of international security and cooperation, as well as challenges and threats to European security, regional crises, conflict in Syria and refugees’ crisis.
