Court session on Savings Bank bad loans case postponed

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/- A court session on the case on bad loans from Banca de Economii (Savings Bank), planned for today, was postponed because of BEM representatives’ absence. Magistrates of the Buiucani court of Chisinau made statements to this effect today.
The lawyer of Grigore Gacikevici, former president of Banca de Economii, noted that “the session was postponed for 28 March”.
The press service of the National Anti-Corruption Centre (CNA) said that anti-corruption prosecutors had submitted 18 files on the providing of bad credits by the former administration of Banca de Economii. “Presently, several dozens of files on BEM’s frauds are under criminal investigation at CNA and Prosecutor General’s Office. The former president of BEM, ex-head of the Credit Department, ex-head of the Security Department and former head of the Legal Department are put on the dock.”
The case on bad loans of BEM was submitted to court in April 2013.
