Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - The fuel importing companies have notified the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) about a new decrease in pump prices for petrol and diesel oil. The petrol cheapens by an average of 0.30 lei per one litre, the diesel oil – by 0.20 lei for one litre and the liquid gas – by 0.15 lei per one litre.
The ANRE press service has said that, following the cheapening, the average selling price of the petrol with the A-95 octane number dropped to 15.96 lei per one litre, the diesel oil price – to 13.19 lei per one litre and the price of the liquid gas decreased to 8.84 lei for one litre.
A company cheapened the petrol and diesel oil on 11 February and another one on 12 February. A third company is to do this on 13 February. At the same time, another two companies selling liquid gas, one of which is importing, said that they were cutting the retail sale prices of the liquid gas starting from today.
This is the fourth drop in prices for petrol and diesel oil and the third cheapening of the liquid gas recorded in 2016. Since earlier this year, the pump prices for petrol and diesel oil have decreased by 1.43 lei per one litre, and respectively, 1.06 lei for one litre, and the liquid gas has cheapened by 0.5 lei for one litre.
The calculations unveiled by oil companies at ANRE show that the decrease in retail prices for petrol and diesel oil was prompted by a cut in their import prices following a drop in the oil’s quotations at international exchanges.
The retail sale of petrol and diesel oil is made by 84 licence holding enterprises at 624 fuel supply stations, and the liquid gas is sold by 69 economic agents at 469 fuel supply stations.
