Moldovan foreign minister, Russian counterpart discuss collaboration, migration issues

Chisinau, 13 February /MOLDPRES/-Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur held talks with Russian Foreign and European Integration Minister Serghei Lavrov during Munich Security Conference, in Germany today, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The officials tackled current issues on the Moldovan-Russian agenda and voiced their willingness to resume inter-ministerial political consultations between deputy ministers, sign a new consultations plan between both foreign ministries, resume talks on bilateral agreements on labour force migration, fight illegal migration and readmission, as well as complete the interstate programme for humanitarian cooperation.
The sides agree to organise a bilateral meeting on the occasion of the meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States’ foreign ministers, due in Moscow in April 2016.
Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur participates in the 52nd edition of Munich Security Conference on 12-14 February. The agenda of the forum includes most relevant security and international cooperation issues, such as provocations and threats to European security, regional crises, Syria conflict and refugee crisis.
