Moldovan, Russian officials discuss Transnistrian conflict settlement measures

Chisinau, 16 February /MOLDPRES/-Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today met Russia’s special representative for the Transnistrian conflict’s settlement, Ambassador Sergey Gubarev, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media service has reported.

The officials discussed current matters on the Transnistrian conflict settlement agenda, focusing on concrete actions to be taken in this field in the near future.

The sides have also emphasized the important need to resume five-plus-two negotiations, the political dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol, as well as the activity of working groups in charge of promoting confidence-building measures between both sides of Dniester, as soon as possible.
