The sides discussed the methodology of applying the subsequent stages, in order to prepare the MSP project, as well as the conditions of getting a grant to implement the latter.
The cabinet’s secretary general thanked the World Bank for the support provided to carry out more projects on development of Moldova, as well as for the WB experts’ interest in further backing the goals of the State Chancellery in terms of digitalizing the public services. “It is important that we have a close cooperation with the World Bank experts, to successfully carry out the projects underway together with foreign partners, in order to develop the electronic services in Moldova,” Tudor Copaci said.
For his part, Alex Kremer confirmed the World Bank’s intention to support the MSP project, including by enforcing the Governance e-Transformation project, in order to optimize the public services in Moldova. The official specified that the World Bank’s team of experts would be on visit to Chisinau till 17 February, and was to consider the progress in implementing more projects, and would provide support to ensure the sustainability and continuity of the present platforms for the next phase of the investments in providing public services.
The MSP project is important, for reasons that about 70 per cent of the residents demand public services, and the implementation of electronic services will ensure a transparent, performant governance, that is receptive to people’s needs. The State Chancellery is set to edify a modern system of providing e-services via Internet, mobile telephony and interactive terminals, thus promoting intelligent investments in information technologies in Moldova’s public sector.
