International Monetary Fund mission to come to Moldova on 23 February

Chisinau, 16 February /MOLDPRES/ - A mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on 23 February will come to Chisinau on visit to monitor the macroeconomic situation, state budget situation, including the instruments of financial and budgetary policies and the banking system.
In a press statement, IMF Resident Representative in Moldova Armine Khachatryan said that “a team of experts of the International Monetary Fund, led by Ivanna Vladkova-Hollar, will be on a working visit to Chisinau on 23-29 February. The mission’s goal is to update the information on the recent economic development and discuss the policies promoted by authorities to maintain the macroeconomic stability and improve the governance.”
The mission has no mandate to negotiate a financial assistance programme. The results of the mission will not be discussed by the IMF Executive Board, the declaration also says.
