Moldovan premier, Chinese ambassador broach bilateral ties

Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/-Prime Minister Pavel Filip held a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Moldova Zhang Yinghong today. During the meeting, the officials discussed Moldovan-Chinese bilateral ties, as well as prospects to develop them, the government’s communication and press relations department has reported.
Filip reiterated the importance of Moldovan-Chinese good friendship ties, adding that Moldova spoke out for boosting up its political dialogue with China and upgrading bilateral ties to the strategic partnership level.
“Moldovan-Chinese bilateral ties have a high development potential and we should take joint efforts to turn it to good account. I am convinced that we will succeed to bring the dialogue to a new qualitative level, for the benefit of Moldovan and Chinese people,” Filip noted.
The Moldovan prime minister thanked Chinese authorities for offering Moldova assistance based on bilateral economic and technical cooperation agreements. He also voiced recognition for observing Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador voiced optimism about development prospects of bilateral ties. Yinghong said China was willing to participate in Moldova’s modernization and back the implementation of projects in all cooperation fields.
The sides agreed to enlarge commercial exchanges, especially Moldovan wine exports on the Chinese market. They have also spoken out for the need to boost up mutual investments.
