Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/ - The director general of the National Health Insurances Company (CNAM) will be appointed and dismissed from office by the government, in line with the law on the status of persons holding public offices, under a amendment made by the cabinet to the CNAM statute.
The director general has been earlier “appointed to office for a five-year period under cabinet decision, at a proposal by the administrative board, which selected him/her on contest basis.”
Presently, no legislative act provides for holding a contest for the office of CNAM director general, an informative note to the draft decision says.
After Mircea Buga had resigned from the office of head of the National Health Insurances Company in early February 2016, and was appointed to the position of chief state adviser of the prime minister in charge of health care and social development, CNAM has no director general.
