Moldovan servicemen start practical training at multinational drills in Germany

Chisinau, 18 February /MOLDPRES/-The National Army’s servicemen detached to the Mission Readiness Exercise (MRE KFOR 21) started practical training at Hohenfels military training centre, Germany, on 17 February.
The chief of the contingent, lieutenant colonel Adrian Efros said the Moldovan servicemen, together with those from Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, the USA and Hungary, were trained to carry out missions of patrolling, medical evacuation, guard at checkpoints. Moldovan officers and sub-officers are trained into practical actions of discovering known and improvised explosive devices, as well as casualty evacuation operations.
At the initial stage of drills, the National Army servicemen were trained by colleagues from Portugal, in terms of “fire phobia” and crowd control.
The exercise from Germany is aimed at assessing the training level of subunits for rotation of troops within the international peacekeeping missions. The event takes place on 10 February – 2 March.
