Chisinau, 19 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Public Property Agency (APP) has informed about a new round of state public property privatisation, the first one this year. Units will be proposed for sale at an initial price of more than one billion lei.
The stocks owned by the state at 18 enterprises, single property complexes, from different sectors of the national economy and one real estate unit will be put to tender at a starting price of 669 million lei. The deadline for submitting the bids is 23 March, an APP press release said.
At the public sales held at the Stock Exchange, the stocks of the state public property from 24 stock companies will be put to sale. The state holds control in 12 of these companies, including Barza Alba, Tutun-CTC, Magazinul Universal Central ”UNIC”, (UNIC Central General Stores), Aeroport Catering (Airport Catering), Floare-Carpet.
APP also said that, on 16 March, a public sale would take place to turn private 12 assets, of which two single property complexes, four real estate complexes and six unfinished units. At the same time, an investment tender will be organised to privatize two real estate units (the movie theatres from the Falesti and Leova towns). The deadline for submitting the bids is 23 March.
Two rounds of privatization of state public property assets were organised in 2015, within which 31 stocks were put to tender through the Stock Exchange, 22 assets were put to commercial tender, two assets to investment tender, 12 assets at public sales. As a result, financial means worth 36.7 million lei were transferred to the state budget.
The draft state budget for 2015 initially was providing for 230 million lei from the sale and privatization of public property units and state owned stocks. The means gained from privatization are used to cover the budget deficit.
