Poland to back Moldovan government's goals to re-establish confidence of residents, improve living standards

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today had a meeting with Polish Ambassador to Moldova Artur Michalski. The discussion was focused on priorities of the bilateral agenda, for a sustainable development of the Moldovan-Polish relations, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
Artur Michalski handed over to Pavel Filip a congratulatory letter on the swearing in the office of prime minister, signed by Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo.
The Moldovan prime minister thanked for Poland’s support for the European integration of Moldova, stressing that the boosting of the political and diplomatic dialogue between the two states represented an important element for Moldova. “Poland has always been a reliable partner, with Moldova enjoying full support in implementing the objectives of European integration and economic development,” Pavel Filip said.
In this context, the prime minister highlighted the loan provided by Poland for developing the agricultural and industrial sector of Moldova, pointing out that the procedures of implementing and monitoring the loan had started. At the same time, Filip appreciated that Moldova represented a priority within Poland’s Development Assistance Programme.
For his part, Artur Michalski expressed his country’s support for carrying out the Moldovan cabinet’s agenda, especially concerning the goals of re-establishing the society’s confidence and improving the Moldovan citizens’ living standards.
The officials discussed the joint bilateral agenda of the two states and implementing concrete actions in the economic sector. The sides also agreed on maintaining an open dialogue, based on a consolidated cooperation.
