Moldovan foreign ministry updates warning of travel to Greece

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) informs the Moldovan citizens intending to travel to/from Greece that, starting from 22 February, all border checkpoints between Greece and Bulgaria had been de-blocked and the road traffic was resumed in both directions, MAEIE information and media communication service has reported.
At the same time, a traffic jam of about 40 km has been formed in the direction of movement from Greece to Bulgaria on the Greek territory up the customs. A similar situation is maintained in the direction of movement from Bulgaria to Greece, where hundreds of heavy trucks are waiting for crossing the border.
Presently, the road traffic is disturbed on the following highways and national roads of Greece for an indefinite period:
∙ Athens – Corinth, in the region of the Corinth Canal;
∙ Athens-Koropi, in the direction to the Athens-based Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport.
