Moldovan parliament ends reception of files of candidates for National Bank of Moldova governor position

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament has ended the reception of files for selecting candidates for the office of Governor of the National Bank of Moldova (BNM), the parliament’s communication and media relations department has reported.

Nine candidates submitted their files for the contest: Roman Cernisev, Vadim Brinzan, Sergiu Cioclea, Serghei Melnik, Valeriu Chitan, Victor Timotin, Gheorghe Dimitrov, Sergiu Iachim and Vladimir Munteanu.

Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu on 23 February will summon a meeting of the commission for selecting the candidate for the office of Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, within which the contest files will be considered. The time and place of the meeting will be announced additionally.
