Moldovan defence ministry holds training course for specialists in managing stocks of weapons, ammunitions

Chisinau, 24 February /MOLDPRES/ - A group of 18 National Army servicemen, as well as representatives of the Interior Ministry and Justice Ministry on 23 February - 11 March participate in a training course in the field of managing stocks of weaponry and ammunition. The work is organised by the Defence Ministry, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission in Moldova.
A head of department at the General Staff, lieutenant colonel Andrei Camerzan has said the participants in the course would take knowledge of the ammunition’s technology, fundamental notions of the chemical technology, proceedings of punching, dyeing and labeling different types of ammunition and techniques of packing ammunitions.
Camerzan specified that the meetings would be led by instructors of the National Army’s Weaponry and Ammunition Centre, earlier trained by a group of experts from Austria and Sweden.
The training course is part of a project on training in the field of managing stocks of weaponry and ammunition. It is organised in the context of a memorandum of understanding between the Defence Ministry and OSCE on the enforcement of a complex programme in the field of small arms and light weapons, as well as conventional arms in Moldova, signed in 2010.
