Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs today convened at the first parliament meeting of the spring-summer session.
In the beginning of the meeting, a lawmaker of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), Tudor Deliu, was appointed head of the PLDM parliamentary faction and Vadim Pistrinciuc was reconfirmed deputy head of this faction.
The Liberal Democratic MPs also demanded that the head of the parliamentary commission for social protection, health and family, Vladimir Hotineanu, and the chief of the commission for economy, budget and finances, Stefan Creanga be recalled from their positions.
“These lawmakers were excluded from the PLDM faction. Thus, based on the amendment of the PLDM composition, we demand that the concerned MPs resign from posts,” Deliu said.
Subsequently, MP Stefan Creanga said that “only the parliament can decide on the recalling of certain lawmakers from the offices held.”
After more than one hour since the beginning of the meeting, the MPs of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) said they walked out of the session hall, as they were discontented with the parliament’s work.
“People are tired of this governance, everything boils down to statements. As a token of protest, the Socialists leave the session hall. We will do our utmost for this session to be the last one, further speaking out for the organisation of snap parliamentary elections,” PSRM leader Igor Dodon said.
