International Monetary Fund experts end working visit to Chisinau

Chisinau, 29 February /MOLDPRES/-Prime Minister Pavel Filip today held a meeting with the team of experts of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by Ivanna Vladkova-Hollar, ending its visit to Chisinau today, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
Filip praised the IMF experts’ visit, voicing confidence in boosting up the bilateral partnership framework. The sides discussed macro-economic developments, current vulnerabilities and economic growth prospects.
IMF experts unveiled the results of technical discussions with public authorities on sector policies, tendencies and expertise assessments. They emphasized the consultations on the state budget and budget-fiscal draft law for 2016.
The sides praised the constructive dialogue they had, adding that it would be extended over the next months, so that the Moldovan government could use financial diagnosis studies and continue its actions to consolidate state authorities with regulation and surveillance functions.
The IMF team of experts paid a working visit to Chisinau on 23-29 February 2016.
