French company willing to implement projects in Moldova

Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Octavian Calmic met vice president of the company for Eastern Europe Jacques Garrigue on 3 March. They discussed the possibility to set cooperation relations between the Moldovan authorities and French company AirBus Group, including by implementing investment projects. Attending the event was also French Ambassador to Moldova Pascal Vagogne.
According to the Economics Ministry’s press service, Garrigue said that presently the company was going to carry out investment and expansion projects in Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus. In terms of Moldova, it is about the possibility to implement common projects in air transport, healthcare, emergencies etc.
In the context, Calmic noted that the Moldovan authorities were interested in drawing foreign investors in all national economic sectors, by creating all conditions for their activity, including via Free Economic Zones and Industrial Parks. At the same time, he welcomed the company’s intention to expand in region and expressed confidence that in future it was possible to implement common projects, especially, in transport and air infrastructure etc.
Calmic and Vagogne exchanged opinions about the economic relations between Moldova and France, pointing out that they could get new valences, following a visit by the Moldovan economics minister to Paris, due in late March.
