Moldovan foreign minister, Lithuanian ambassador broach bilateral ties, cooperation

Chisinau, 9 March /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today met Ambassador of Lithuania to Moldova Rimantas Latakas, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s communication and media relations service has reported.
The officials approached some issues on the agenda of the Moldovan-Lithuanian bilateral relations. Galbur said that Lithuania was an important partner for Moldova in carrying out structural reforms and modernizing the country. The foreign minister highly appreciated the Moldova’s maintenance in the top of the seven states benefiting from assistance for development provided by the Lithuanian government.
For his part, Rimantas Latakas reiterated Lithuania’s willingness to further back Moldova in implementing reforms and democratic transformations, including by offering needed expertise, in order to achieve the set strategic goals.
The sides opted for boosting the Moldovan-Lithuanian political dialogue and further strengthening good friendship and cooperation relations between Moldova and Lithuania.
