Moldovan foreign minister, Romanian ambassador discuss bilateral ties

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today received Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Marius Lazurca, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The two diplomats exchanged opinions on up-to-date issues on the agenda of the bilateral Moldovan-Romanian relations. The officials paid special attention to the implementation of the reforms provided for in the Moldova – European Union Association Agreement and the actions undertaken, in order to settle the pressing problems faced by the Moldovan society.
Minister Andrei Galbur thanked for the valuable support provided to Moldova by Romania to promote reforms and overcome the difficulties the country was confronting with.
For his part, Ambassador Lazurca reiterated Romania’s willingness to further back Moldova in carrying out the European agenda of reforms and solve the social and economic problems faced by the residents. The ambassador highlighted the fact that the first batch of the humanitarian assistance promised by Romania had already arrived in Moldova. Marius Lazurca voiced hope that this aid could help meet the needs of certain categories of the population.
